1. General Terms

  • Eligibility: eBikeExpress services, including rentals and purchases, are available to individuals aged 16 and older who comply with Australian road regulations for e-bikes (pedal-assist up to 25km/h, no license required).
  • Usage: All e-bikes must be used in accordance with local laws, including wearing helmets and adhering to traffic rules. Users are responsible for ensuring safe operation.
  • Rental Agreement: Renters must provide valid identification and agree to return the e-bike in the same condition, subject to normal wear and tear. Late returns may incur additional fees.
  • Liability: eBikeExpress is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety guidelines.

2. Warranty Policy

At eBikeExpress, we stand behind the quality of our brand-new e-bikes, offering a limited warranty to keep your ride reliable and thrilling. Below are the details of our warranty coverage, crafted to give you peace of mind.

2.1 Frame & Fork Warranty

  • Coverage: All frames and forks, including carbon fibre, are covered by a 2-year warranty.
  • Eligibility: Applies only to the original purchaser of a brand-new eBikeExpress e-bike.
  • Exclusions: Suspension components are not included in this warranty.

2.2 Components Warranty

  • Coverage: All components are backed by the manufacturer’s original warranty:
    • Motor: 1 year
    • Main Controller: 1 year
    • Battery: 1 year
  • Eligibility: Applies only to the original purchaser of a brand-new eBikeExpress e-bike.

2.3 Second-Hand Parts Warning

  • No Warranty on Second-Hand Parts: eBikeExpress does not provide any warranty for second-hand or used parts, whether purchased separately or included in a repaired or refurbished e-bike. Use of second-hand parts may void existing warranties on related components. Customers are responsible for verifying the condition and compatibility of any second-hand parts.

2.4 Limitations & Exclusions

  • Non-Transferable: The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of a brand-new eBikeExpress e-bike.
  • Claim Requirements: To file a warranty claim, the e-bike must:
    • Be in assembled condition.
    • Be accompanied by the original purchase receipt.
  • Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:
    • Cosmetic issues (e.g., scratches, rust, paint wear).
    • Wear and tear parts (e.g., tires, tubes, brakes, seats, pedals, grips).
    • Damage from accidents, theft, misuse, or neglect.
    • Improper assembly or insufficient maintenance.
    • Unauthorized modifications or use of incompatible parts, including second-hand parts.
    • Costs related to assembly, transport, or disassembly.

2.5 Warranty Support

  • How to File a Claim: Contact our Sydney-based support team with:
    • Your original purchase receipt.
    • A photo and brief description of the issue.
  • Process: Our team will assess the claim and provide guidance on repairs or replacements, subject to warranty terms.

3. Additional Terms

  • Student Support: eBikeExpress offers hassle-free rentals for students with no additional costs, ensuring affordable mobility for campus commutes.
  • Maintenance: Renters and owners are responsible for regular maintenance to keep e-bikes in safe working condition. eBikeExpress provides free servicing for rentals as part of the agreement.
  • Returns and Refunds: Rental refunds are subject to inspection for damage beyond normal wear. Purchased e-bikes are subject to our return policy, available in-store or online.
  • Modifications: Any modifications to e-bikes, including the use of second-hand parts, must comply with Australian e-bike regulations and may void warranties.
