Do you sell e-bikes or only rent them?
We are a rental-only service. We rent delivery e-bikes on 4, 8 and 12-week minimum plans; we do not sell the bikes shown on this website.
Is there a bond or deposit required?
No bond or security deposit is required for the advertised rental plans. Your rental charges are separate from a bond.
What is included with the e-bike rental?
Every rental includes a certified safety helmet, phone holder, insulated delivery bag, charger and lock, plus maintenance and support during the rental period.
How much does e-bike rental cost in Sydney?
The 4-week plan is $70 per week, the 8-week plan is $65 per week and the 12-week plan is $60 per week. Charges are collected in 4-week blocks in advance during the selected minimum term.
Do I need to pay for my rental in advance?
Yes. Rental charges are collected every 4 weeks in advance. That is $280 per charge on the 4-week plan, $260 per charge on the 8-week plan and $240 per charge on the 12-week plan during the selected minimum term. This payment is not a bond.
What is the Theft Protection Plan (TPP)?
TPP is an optional $12 per week add-on, charged as $48 every 4 weeks in advance. If the rental e-bike is stolen while eligible cover is active, the advertised one-time fee is $500 instead of the full replacement cost. Eligibility, exclusions, rider obligations and claim evidence are set out in the rental agreement supplied before purchase.
What documents do I need to book an e-bike rental?
The online appointment form asks for PDF copies of a valid passport and visa for identity and eligibility checks. Bring the originals to your appointment at the Ultimo store. See our Privacy Policy for how booking information is handled.
How long does the e-bike battery last?
The rental bike uses a 48V 54Ah LFP battery. It may provide up to 8–10 hours of riding under suitable conditions, but actual runtime varies with rider and cargo weight, route, weather, assist level, riding style and battery condition.
Where can I pick up my rental e-bike?
Pick up from Shop 92, 460 Jones Street, Ultimo NSW 2007, Sydney. The store is open Monday to Saturday, 11:00 AM–5:00 PM, and closed Sundays.
Can I use the e-bike for Uber Eats or DoorDash deliveries?
Yes. The bikes are configured for food-delivery work and include an insulated delivery bag, phone holder and lock. E-Bikes Express is an independent rental business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Uber Eats or DoorDash.
Is maintenance included in the rental?
Yes. Maintenance and support are included during the rental period. Contact the team if the bike needs attention so it can be inspected before you continue riding.
Can international students rent an e-bike in Sydney?
International students can request a rental appointment. The booking process asks for a passport and valid visa so the team can complete identity and eligibility checks.
Can I book an e-bike rental online?
Yes. Submit the appointment form, choose a plan and preferred time, and upload the requested documents. An online request is not confirmed until the team contacts you by email or WhatsApp.
